Droitwich Spa Vets scored two quick goals in the first half which arrived from the stick of Luke Wickes and Stuart Littleton doubled the lead minutes later with a precise finish. Lacklustre Pershore struggled to pass the ball but pulled a goal back after a stray pass from Phil Salamon presented the opportunity for Pershore to come back into the game which they converted. Spa added another two quick goals with a poachers finish from Craig Timmis and a well worked short corner routine converted by Paul Woodward leaving the half time score 4-2 to Spa.
Pershore began the second half confidently, passing the ball to sticks and creating chances which they failed to take. Droitwich began to sit back as well, soaking up the pressure before launching attacks down the right hand side through Peter Sankey. Droitwich lost the ball in midfield which resulted in Pershore scoring a third and leaving a tense finale. Pershore equalised with two minutes to go, but Droitwich held on to see out the rest of the game.
