Spa went into this South West Two Division Clash against Evesham looking to keep their unbeaten run going and to keep up their free scoring form which saw them beat League Leaders Wednesbury 5-2 the previous week.
The first half Spa moved the ball around excellently, making short sharp passes to get in behind the Evesham defence. Spa opened the scoring early with two quick goals in succession from Marcus Clayton. Further goals in the first half from Alex Brewer, Nick Bates bagged his 23rd goal of the season, Barry Williams & Lee Wakelam saw a six goal half time lead. Second half saw Wakelam add to his tally, before Evesham got on the score sheet. Marcus Clayton then scored to seal his hat trick, shortly followed by a further goal from centre mid Adam James. Evesham then gained a second conciliation goal before Alex Brewer scored a stunning reverse stick goal from an acute angle, then Lee Wakelam gained his hat trick taking his season tally to 11 from a penalty corner.
The result leaves Spa a guaranteed 3rd place in the league narrowly missing out on promotion despite being the division top scorers with 71 goals and having the best goal difference of +38.
Droitwich final game of the campaign is away at Pershore looking to sign the season off in style.
